Quest Mold and Asbestos Inspections and Testing

Mold Testing

Mold testing is an essential part of understanding the health of your home. The presence of mold in your home can be a health risk, especially for people with allergies.

As an industry leader in mold testing, we offer a wide range of services to ensure the safety of your families, employees, and customers. As new toxins are detected, we adapt to stay ahead of the curve. Using professional quality mold testing kits can help you have a better understanding of what dangerous agents are present around your property, and what actions you need to take to fix the problem. Our tests are lab-quality, FDA-approved tests for identifying mold spores in your home or office.

All mold inspections include a visual inspection, moisture reading, detailed report and recommendations for mold remediation (if applicable).

TYPES OF MOLD TESTING WE PROVIDE:

  • Air Quality Testing: Air quality testing is the process of measuring and analyzing the levels of various pollutants and contaminants in the air. This testing is conducted to assess the quality of the air and identify any potential health risks associated with breathing in that air. It can be done in various indoor and outdoor environments, such as homes, schools, workplaces, and industrial settings. Air quality testing typically involves collecting air samples and analyzing them for pollutants such as particulate matter, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), carbon monoxide, ozone, nitrogen dioxide, and other harmful substances. The results of the testing can help determine the overall air quality and guide necessary actions to improve air quality if needed.

  • Swab Sampling: Mold swab sampling is a technique used to collect samples of mold and its spores from a surface or material using a swab. The swab is wiped across the surface being sampled. This method allows for the transfer of mold particles onto the swab, which is then sent to the laboratory for analysis.

  • Tape Lift Sampling: Mold tape lift sampling is a method used to collect samples of mold from surfaces for analysis. It involves using adhesive tape to lift and collect the visible part of mold from various surfaces such as walls, ceilings, or furniture. The tape is pressed onto the surface with moderate pressure and then carefully peeled off, collecting a sample of the mold in the process. This sampling technique is commonly used in indoor environmental assessments or mold inspections to identify the presence of mold and determine the type or species present.
